Contest Watchers

Fueling the fire of competition, Contest Watchers is the latest website to give creative graduates access to an extensive list of the latest design contests, international scholarships and workshops.

Helmed by  "a super serious group of five fictional characters', Contest Watchers seek out the latest international contests from around the globe and share them directly with you.

With 79 competitions currently listed on their home page, the site is divided into six specific catagories:  Free, Music, Residency, Scholarship, Visual Arts  and Workshop.  Each category covers a vast variety of creative disciplines from photography and product to graphic design.

Simple to navigate, the site gets to the most important information first, saving you time and helping you find the right competitions. The most basic information is instantly visible, explaining the full  competition brief, deadlines, objectives, rules and most importantly, the prizes!

While browsing through the latest briefs which are currently open and ready for submissions, we came across The James Dyson Award 2010, The Robert Cornelius Portrait Award as well as competitions set by The National Geographic and Panasonic. We even managed to find a 'design a sock' contest set by Sock It To Me so there's certainly something for everyone.

Not only is Contest Watchers a thriving online database of live competitions, it also actively promotes up and coming young creatives (much like we do here at jotta) as well as showcasing well established artists. Contest Watchers publish the names of all contest winners, giving them even more exposure and allowing their work to be seen by a worldwide audience.

Join Contest Watchers and  you'll never miss another competition.
