SHOWstudio Fashion Revolution

Cherry Hurren and I attended SHOWstudio's exhibition and live Vogue cover-shoot at Somerset House yesterday. This was truly an original exhibition, a catalyst, bringing fashion to life in a new way. Creative genius Nick Knight created the concept/photographed/filmed the contributions from the rest of the exhibitors such as Alexander McQueen, Rei Kawakubo, John Galliano, Erin O'Connor. Highlights included three giant Naomi Campbell's, which visitors were invited to graffiti via a projector, a mirror room (which Cherry and I spent at least 20 minutes in) Synaesthesia, another beautiful interactive piece, a set of perspex squares with model's lip stick imprints, and, of course, the live shoot featuring Natalia Vodianova.

Nick Knight's fashion website SHOWstudio.com has pioneered some of the most imaginative and exciting forms of fashion for the internet- a true fashion blog revolution. Knight has harnessed the potential of New Media in an innovative way, bringing fashion and art together in a way which has no comparative equal. The way we experience fashion images, either through SHOWstudio.com or at the exhibition, has been completely reinvented. The rich tapestry of music, photography, live performance and technology has left me in complete awe. One of the best exhibitions I have ever been to. Ever.

Vogue.com have covered some of the exhibition HERE
and I think you should be able to view the live shoot on SHOWstudio HERE
